An Explosives Debate

In the last two years, there have been significant changes to the explosive legislation not only in Australia but also abroad. Today, explosive regulations are moving towards unit level identification and tracking, with Brazil implementing the decree 14 months ago. The European Union has also confirmed that they too will introduce unit level tracking into their explosive legislation within the next three years. Global Tracking Solutions chief executive officer John Moore told Australian Mining that unit tracking would eventually become a world wide custom as it improves the level of safety and security in the transport and use of explosives.
