The Team

Stephen Rice - Chairman

Stephen RiceStephen has substantial experience in commercialising emerging technologies. He is innovative, creative and the recipient of an Australian DesignMark Award for designing and developing an integrated range of business management software solutions. He has been involved with Global Tracking Solutions from its early stages and advises the Company on its strategic development, business systems and commercialisation strategies.

Stephen is the Chairman of Platform Interactive Limited, Internet software and web management Systems Company and also Chairman of Global Mind Screen, a mental health diagnostic systems company. He also holds board positions in other technology businesses.

 

John Moore - Director

John MooreJohn has over 24 years in the mining industry, having worked both in Australia and overseas in drill and blast operations. During his time in the industry John has work for principles and mining contractors along with ICI, later Orica Explosives. In 1999 John set up his first very successful company, Mine Blasting Applications and provided blasting solutions to some major Australian and international mining companies.

John work for three and half years in Papua New Guinea for BHP Ok Tedi Mining Operations, in supervision of their drill and blast operations before returning to Australia in 2005. He then was employed for two and half years by Newcrest Mining as the Senior Drill and Blast Engineer Underground. John is also the inventor whose idea it was to develop and designed a method of tracking detonators and explosives for the market and founding member of Global Tracking Solutions.

 

Gary Macbeth - Director

Gary MacbethGary brings over 25 years in technology and business management, with senior level operations experience from start-up to enterprise level, and a particular passion for early-stage, technology driven ventures.  An entrepreneur by nature, Gary started his career in systems development in the UK and moved to Silicon Valley in 1987. He progressed into the executive and business development function when he founded a consulting group in 1992. The company delivered product and services in Enterprise Applications and Business Intelligence, with clients including Sun Microsystems, Apple, and BT/Concert.

He later formed a venture forum in 1999, providing deal-flow and education services for the investor and entrepreneur community in Santa Cruz, California. This led to further investment and client opportunities for Gary as a venture catalyst in primarily technology-driven ventures.

As a commercially focused venture catalyst to companies in the US, UK and Australia, Gary has a broad international network in tech business operations and regional investment communities. Gary delivers an agile, results-driven, 'can-do' attitude, working closely at management team and board level on strategic transactions and the development and execution of business, product and commercialisation strategies.
